So I have been scouring magazines and websites and everything inbetween. I have this vision in my head of what I want my dress to look like… then one day, I found it! Maggie Sottero Anniston is THE DRESS. I have called 20 different bridal stores in the greater Philadelphia area and no one carries it anymore.
I really need some advice on how to find it! If the sample isn’t sold, what happens to it? Where else could I find this dress? I posted on the weddingbee classifieds already… Also, if I’m buying online, how would I try the dress on?
Thanks so much bees!

Have you checked with Maggie Sottero customer service? They may be able to help you locate a store that has purchased that style. The dress is absolutely beautiful. Good luck!

Ugh. I had the same problem in Philly. Every time I saw a dress online that I wanted to try on, NONE of the local shops had it in stock. I went to every store that sold Pronovias and Watters in the tri-state area and none of them had what I wanted to try.
I’ll bet you can find a shop in NYC that carries it, though. You can make a little day trip out of it.

Yeah I know that can be frustrating. I called tons of stores looking to try on a certain dress and no one had it. Some designers have a borrower program, where a bridal salon can be put on a list to get a certain dress in for like a week or so, for a bride to be able to try it on. However, my experience with that is that most salons seems not to bother with doing that. If you can’t find it in a store or at a trunk show, you are kind of out of luck as far as trying it on. So yeah, you have the option of ordering the dress online, but without seeing it in person and trying it on first, it’s kinda risky. I like danadelphia’s suggestion about trying some stores in NYC. I know RK Bridal has a ton of dresses.
