I think the wording looks good, but I agree with PP that the bride’s name is usually first.
@Pumpkin_Bee: Also I learned, that whoever is paying for the wedding, or paying the most is the one who invites everyone. So mine had to be my parents inviting to the marriage of their daughter. So with this wording, it means you and your groom are fronting most of the money. You probably already know that though, I was clueless on EVERYTHING and still feel that way a majority of the time. I think it sounds great though!
@LDMTNBRIDE: thanks, though I had heard that one before! Fiance and I are paying for most of it, but both sets of parents are contributing some. I think I did it right in that case? The only thing I’m not sure of is that my grandmother is also contributing some, but I don’t think she needs to be mentioned… Is that ok??
@Pumpkin_Bee: Yea you have it correct. I also don’t think you would mention your grandma. I have no idea how you would add that in. So, poor grandma, but she gets the cut. Looks great! I had my invitations written like yours, and my mom got a little angry since they are paying for everything. I had to change it about ten times before I just had her do it to her liking.
My Mom is paying for everything except for rehearsal dinner. My father is deceased and she is remarried now, stepfather is walking me down the aisle but he is not paying for anything! My Mom wasn’t too concerned with her name being printed on the invite and since Fiance and I have been together for 12 yrs. now, I just decided to put “Together with their families”! That way everyone feels included in our big day! To me using that phrase doesn’t necessarily imply that we are the ones that payed for the wedding, but everyone knows that anyways! lol Really I don’t think people pay that much attention to the invitations or proper etiquette anyways! That is another option you could consider though! I do agree with everyone else though that your name should be first! It looks great though!
