    ….they DO look a little morbid 🙁

which makes me sad to say, because I want to say, “If you love them, use them!”

What color are your linens? I’m afraid too much black will be a little overwhelming.

I loved the mismatched vases… I actually am using 3 mismatched vases on each table i am doing as well..

I picked other … I dont think they are innapropraite… What kind of linens are you using? i do feel the centerpieces are a little blah though …

I personally dont like the ribbon at all … sorry

I also feel the stems are ruining it… perhaps it is just bc like you said they are not short enough.

Great job! I like the varying heights of the vases. I don’t think the black roses look gothic. The only suggestion I would have is to look at removing the ribbon because it takes away from the roses. I think it would still look elegant without the ribbon. It’s a nice idea and I’ve seen it in a couple places.

I don’t think they’ll blend too much and you’re welcome for the patterned ribbon suggestion I think the color scheme is really mod and cool and a bit unexpected (which is always fun in the wedding world)

JUST AS A LITTLE SUGGESTION. MY SISTER HAD AN ALL CANDLE CENTER PIECE WITH ABOUT 8 TO 10 DIFFERENT WHITE CANDLES ON SQUARE MIRRORS. THE IDEA WAS GREAT AND IT LOOKED BEAUTIFUL, ALL UNTIL THE TEA CANDLES HAD NO MORE WAX AND BLEW OUT AND SOME CANDLES WERE NOT BURNING RIGHT AND WE HAD TO BLOW THEM OUT. SHE LOST A LOT OF THE “MOOD ” THAT SHE WAS GOING FOR BECAUSE THE CANDLES DIDN’T LAST ALL OF THE SUPPER TIME… TO ALL YOU OUT THERE, IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON USING CANDLES PLEASE GO OUT AND SPEND THE LITTLE EXTRA ON LONG LASTING CANDLES…

That is great you are using it on white table linens.  I think the black will really “pop” against that.

I agree with others that for some reason the top of the flower, the water line, the ribbon, and the candle are all at about the same level.  Maybe you can adjust this a little bit?  I like the ribbon, but I like the first picture better without it because it makes the candle stand out more.

What about using black or dark river rock on the bottom?

I’d love to see updated pictures! I personally think the black looks awesome. I would switch up the black rose with a different color ribbon. But I love It. I say stick with it. I like the suggestions too about laying the rose on the rocks without the stem.
