- Wedding: November 2012
I hired Daisy with Sweet Architectures of SA as my wedding planner referred her to me. Unfortunately, on my wedding day, the cake was leaning to one side before the ceremony (probably b/c of her bad cake stands) and my cake topper kept falling off the top tier. The cake’s decorations, while very nice, were just too sparse to have any impact on the overall look of the cake. During the reception, my wedding planner suggested I rush to cut the cake before the whole cake falls over but I was too embarassed and angry to have my guests see that disaster. In addition, I had cake charms placed in the cake for my bridesmaids to pull but feared pulling on those charms would bring the top tier down. On top of that, the cake wasn’t the correct flavoring I requested and was very dry (the other flavore cake never retained its form when served to my guests and just crumpled on the plate). When inquiring with Daisy, she never once addressed the flavoring issue and refused to give me any portion of my money back. I never had the chance to meet or do a tasting with Daisy (I still have no idea what she looks like) as I live in Houston, it was hard to schedule a time when she was free. Every time I emailed her, she was too busy to meet with me. My wedding planner has since removed her as a preferred vendor due to her handling of the situation. We were accused of lying to her about the cake problems and told to deal with her lawyer. I paid her a total of $730 for a cake that was worth half of that price. Unfortunately, I lost that special moment of my wedding and hope other brides do not lose this moment either. Please reconsider before giving this woman your money. This is a special moment in your wedding and you do not want to place that trust with just anyone like I did.
