    Yes! I'm a cuddler and always need something.

    No. I don't need to.

    Other, please comment.

    My Fiance is gone 5 days out of the week, and I only see him on the weekends, so when I go to bed at night I watch one of our favorite movies, and snuggle our dog, she is a big dog, so she is the perfect snuggler!

    My Fiance didnt get to sleep together until more recently, and even then it wasn’t every single night (after all, we lived at his parents…..) but he moved to MY parents house recently. When I lived at home, I had my puppy dog! But now I’m at his parents house without him, and without a dog 🙁 It gets lonely! So I cuddle a fuzzy throw. But I’m also in his room, surrounding by all his things, so that does kind of help too.

    I’m a big sap, so when he’s away I sleep in his t-shirt, spray his cologne on my pillow and cuddle up with the two teddies he gave me. Though I also sprawl out all over the bed when I’m sleeping – I sleep like a starfish, so when he’s away I make the most of it!

    Um I sleep with my teddy even when my partner is with me sometimes, haha. But the teddy was also a handmade gift from my partner, so no judgement there 🙂

    I completely understand… The nights that my Fiance isn’t staying over, I sleep clutching one of his tshirts. I hate the nights he is not here… like tonight! But he will be here in the morning! (OT shift from 11-7am… Ugh!)

    No. I like to sleep sideways in the bed and lay on all the pillows though.

    @LovelyLaura8:

    I have the same teddy bear I’ve had since I was a kid.  If I’m at a hotel or something I’ll grab an extra pillow for cuddles.

    I actually fall asleep better when I’m alone. But he got me a pegasus stuffed animal and I do cuddle with it sometimes. Though its more of a comfort thing than a “I miss him and need cuddles” thing. He works third shift, so I fall asleep alone almost every night.

    @LovelyLaura8:  I think it gets worse when you’ve been living together for a long time. DH leaves for work 3 hours earlier now and I CANNOT sleep when he’s not there. I usually grab his pillow and snuggle with it but once I hear the car leave, I’m wide awake. He’s been Out of Town for work 1 night in our entire marriage and we were on the phone for hours b/c he said he couldn’t sleep w/o me.

    @rachash221:  I used to sleep with one of his Tshirts when we were long distance! Luckily, i’ll never have to try to fall asleep without him these days but I gurantee I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I didn’t have something of his!

    Just felt like I needed to say this, haha…

    For my massage clients who have neck and upper back pain and complain that its worse when they wake up, I ask them how they sleep. If they’re side-sleepers I always tell them that they need to sleep with a stuffed animal or body pillow. It helps adjust your shoulder positioning and keeps your neck from being in such a bad position.

    And they all say it helps a lot. So its really good to sleep with a teddy bear! =)

    If he’s away I often cuddle with something that smells like him like his pillow or a shirt… :/ Not to mention I have three stuffed toys!

    @Mischka:  I used to do the same thing when SO was away! I’d sleep in his old frat shirt and spray some of his cologne in the air. So comforting! (I’m also a bed hog/starfish sleeper too)
