I would just wear them.  The bach party is for you AND your friends, IMO. I wore the sash and penis necklace and it was not a huge deal ;o)

I wore what my girls got for me and it was super fun.  Now, if anything had a penis on it that would have been a no go in public.  That stuff is hysterical for an at home party… but I will not be seen adorned with penises (is that how you pluralize it?) by strangers.

I personally would wear it because it is one night and nayone that will see you is going to assume (and rightly) that it was your friends that are adorning you.

I’d rock that sash… maybe not so much the necklace.

I appreciated everything my BMs and Maid/Matron of Honor did for my bachelorette party.  They brought penis “antennae”, sashes, shotglasses, custom tanks… the works!  I wore it ALL, lol!  I may have looked silly, but oh well… I had a blast and I figured it only happens once in a lifetime!  🙂

I’d wear it for the photo and that’s it. Tell them that you appreciate what they did for you but you feel uncomfortable wearing things that will draw attention to you like that.

This is my nightmare… however, I’d rock it & wear it all night for my Maid/Matron of Honor. She went to the trouble of throwing this shindig together, you might as well humor her!

I’d wear it and be happy that they didn’t get me a blow-up penis to carry around all night! Seriously, one of my friends saw that recently.

I told my friends “no penises”

@goldilocks: My friends brought the blow-up penis to the hotel and we all were required to take illicit photos with it ;o)  And the penis necklace I had to wear was not so bad…it was a candy necklace with one penis on it.  We did carry penis straws though LoL.  I thought it was fun.

Luckily my sister is my Maid/Matron of Honor. I told her no penii (plural, kinda like cacti? 😉 )

My mom, SIL, aunts, cousins, and little bro are going to be at my bachelorette. NO PENII!!

Maybe wear it for one photo… but remember that things end up on facebook and god knows where else.  I personally wouldn’t do it b/c it could impact me professionally.

Your friend should understand what kind of person you are.  One of my girlfriends got married a year or so ago, and she wore the sash, the penis necklace, even had a male stripper (which was hilarious btw).  She loved it.  But I would be mortified if my friends did that to me… and I think my friends know that.  You shouldn’t do anything that makes you uncomfortable.

Your Maid/Matron of Honor should know that you are very uncomfortable with those things. If she doesn’t, let her know asap. If she is truly a friend, she will not force you to feel humiliated in public and you should not cave into her demands if it bothers you that much. You can have a fun time without the kitsch that may end up biting you in the butt (professionally or otherwise) when the pictures surface for everyone else to see, which is unavoidable.
