I wanted to do a long run (5 miles) yesterday but something came up and I wasn’t able to. I am having a rough day. DH is working all day, I am stressed about work, and had nightmares last night. I am having a hard time getting off the couch to get motivated today. I have a 5k in two weeks, so I need to get on it. Please encourage me! Thanks!

You know what reallllly gets me motivated? I signed up for a Warrior Dash race this past summer. Proceeds benefit St. Jude. Every day when I run, I just remind myself that if these kids can fight cancer, surely I can RUN. Some of them may never even get the chance to walk again. Every step is powerful; I take every step for them. THEY’RE fighters. I’m just a runner. Every run is an opportunity <3

I ran, but didn’t hit my goal. I ran 3.1 miles and walked a mile. Thanks for the encouragement!

i’m sad because of this stomach bug that i won’t be able to do a long hard run tomorrow but eh i’m going to do a short one just to do it
