@Smiley Bride: Seeing as how you’re in Canada and your wedding is in Ireland, I’m pretty sure you could pull off purple and yellow… I would probably try to keep to the really rich tones of both though, because all I can think right now is “LAKERS WEDDING!!” but maybe that’s just because i’m in California? Also, sunflowers are totally a fall flower, so they’d be great in a bouquet!

I think it sounds beautiful. And sunflowers are primarily used in fall.

I think purple and yellow go okay together.  But, I live in so cal and when ever I see those colors I think of the Lakers.  I think sunflowers are very fall.  I always see them in the fall in not only yellow but also orangey/red colors.

Purple and yellow are opposite each other on the color wheel, so that means that they are actually complementary colors.  They both make the other one really pop.  I think it would be a LOVELY combination!
