I still prefer the first one. It looks amazing on you. Could you not see if you could get some extra lace from Watters and have the straps made from it?

I really like the second one as well, but not for that much extra money.

Have you checked out these options? Would be cheaper than dress 2.

Dress #1 is more to my taste, but I’m not you! I do think it would look lovely with matching cap sleeves, though. If matching isn’t possible, you could perhaps do illusion cap sleeves with a light dusting of the white sequins that dot the dress.

Who is the designer of dress 2?

lunaman:  I LOVE the neckline on dress 2. Not crazy about #1, although it does look great on you. I’m not really a fan of strapless.

lunaman:  ohh no! they didn’t share that with me Haha I hope they can do it and it looks ok! They did a pretty good job on the dress the girl is wearing! I’m crossing my fingers!

I love dress #1! I also didn’t particularly like strapless wedding dresses on myself, so if I had fallen in love with one I likely would have ended up adding straps as well.

I don’t know about altering the neckline, but I think if the lace cap sleeves don’t work out, some straps made out of strands of pearls or other beading could be lovely, maybe off-the-shoulder or criss cross.

unicornphish:  adding beaded straps would be a great idea! Love it!

I just had another idea – what about the WToo Pallas? It’s similar to the Pippin, but with straps:

They’re both beautiful – definately NOT worth an extra 3.5 grand for the second one. Go for the pippin.

clairebbbear:  I love the pallas – and soooooo much more comfortable than the pippin! (I tried them both on) – but the pippin really pulls you in in all the right places.

You look great in both of them.  I think I’d lean towards the second, but the price difference is significant!  Have you looked at lots of other shops?  I think the lace with sleeves look is getting easier to find!

I feel you on the strapless thing.  I never wear strapless anything and I was adamant about not having strapless.  I tried a couple on and they were surprisingly better than I thought they would be, but it’s still not me.

I’d be nervous about altering to a deeper sweetheart as well, mainly because of the lace.  The lace would have to be cut into, so the pattern at the top would change, or the first row of scallops would have to be overlapped with the second row.  I think it would just look funny since the rest of the dress has those same two perfectly aligned rows of scallops and you’d be able to tell there were alterations in that area.

Let’s just be honest and say that you look amazing in all three you’ve shown us. Don’t hate me, but my favorite is still the second one from your post a week ago! BUUUT if that’s out of the running, I like the newest best, especially when you mentioned what you change 🙂 Good luck, any of these will be perfect!!!

Lulu0403:  OMG you look so amazing!

lunaman: You look amazing in both of them!! I think I love the first one more, but it’s a tough call since they are so gorgeous on you.  Do you want to wear a veil with them?  Maybe one of them looks nicer with a veil?  Or maybe you like the look of one of the better when next to your bridesmaid dresses?
