I need your opinion on reception centerpieces! My idea is to use water pearls in vases with blue lighting underneath as centerpieces (pic below) with blue/purple dendrobium orchids coming out of the vases. Each table will have one, but some will have tall vases and others will have short ones. I want to use royal purple uplighting throughout the room . My colors are teal, royal purple and silver. I am thinking of using chocolate tablecloths with teal napkins. Is this too much color? Should I use white lighting instead of blue for the water pearls (2nd pic below)? What do you guys think?? Thanks guys!

Hmm, I’m on a fence here. My initial reaction was that I’m not sure i’d want to see that level of “blue” in the middle of the table if I were a guest, so I’m think I’m leaning towards the white lights with the contrast of blue dendrobiums? But the blue/purple uplight idea certainly is gorgeous.

I wouldn’t use chocolate cloths if your colors are teal, royal purple and silver.
If the flowers and uplighting are going to be blue and purple, I would use sivler or grey cloths, or white cloths with a silver overlay or runner.

So my venue has huge windows all around…so the centerpieces wouldnt look as blue because of the lighting coming from outside ect. It is hard for me to visualize the 2 different centerpieces with the theme I’m trying to envision. I’m trying to go for a romantic theme. Please let me know what you guys think.
