Agree on the Big CZ studs. wearing a necklace with the designs on your neckline do sound over the top.

Can you post a photo of hair like yours?  Dark and straight?  Light and curly?

That neckline is gorgeous, and I think you’re right about just earrings. I’d mix CZs and pearls, though (maybe like the third one that jwilson1 posted).

My earrings are below (I’m wearing the necklace that goes with them)

I think a BIG pair of CZ earrings would be awesome with the retro hair!

Some sort of antique pearl would be pretty hot.  You look like you have some quirk (loooove the beanie), and going vintage also allows for more adventure in your jewelry (think whimsical updates to vintage standards).

Consider the following….either for purchase or to kick start your own research:

Your standard vintage-inspired drop: http://www.etsy.com/listing/75539313/pearl-drop-bridal-earrings-antiqued?ref=sr_gallery_18&ga_search_query=pearl+earrings&ga_order=most_relevant&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=ZZ&ga_page=2&ga_search_type=all

Something a little closer to the time period but with new stems: http://tippystockton.com/item_81/Kyoto-Wedding-Earrings.htm

And another: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&biw=1262&bih=582&tbm=isch&tbnid=FMxSC470xDENAM:&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/listing/45681638/vintage-1940s-exoctic-black-and-white&docid=cCSh5-yAEVYtFM&itg=1&imgurl=http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_fullxfull.140373306.jpg&w=1452&h=955&ei=5PilT4GcJOioiQKevqifAg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=572&vpy=72&dur=499&hovh=182&hovw=277&tx=126&ty=131&sig=105540449913539184966&page=2&tbnh=120&tbnw=158&start=21&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:10,s:21,i:141

And I keep going back to these but I think its because I keep pitcuring you in a pillbox hat.  So forgive me, but I wanted to share them anyway.  [grrrrrr, i lost the link and webpage.  This one wasn’t met to be.  They weren’t the right era anyway.  I owe you one!]

The last of the vintage and probably the closest choice for a wedding in that time period: http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1262&bih=582&tbm=isch&tbnid=1Wi_Lc2BPuyYKM:&imgrefurl=http://www.rubylane.com/item/316991-1252L/Ex78tra-fine-c-1940s-Baroque&docid=jZcChO8rpJ3FpM&imgurl=http://image0-rubylane.s3.amazonaws.com/shops/brendastreasures/1252L.1L.jpg&w=1024&h=1110&ei=C_2lT7rTBIikiQK7p8CxAg&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=439&vpy=229&dur=2075&hovh=234&hovw=216&tx=100&ty=121&sig=105540449913539184966&page=1&tbnh=133&tbnw=123&start=0&ndsp=12&ved=1t:429,r:2,s:0,i:85

And I am tempted to buy these for myself as this is what I would totally go for.  While I can’t picture it with your dress, both your hair and a birdcage veil allow for even more adventurous choices.  Seriously, these are darling, prepare yourself. :  http://www.google.com/imgres?um=1&hl=en&sa=N&biw=1262&bih=582&tbm=isch&tbnid=mYq5vfjPasKzOM:&imgrefurl=http://www.etsy.com/listing/83339820/bird-and-water-pearl-earrings-antique&docid=ryE9wsbsJ3FyfM&itg=1&imgurl=http://img2.etsystatic.com/il_fullxfull.279900514.jpg&w=904&h=700&ei=–6lT-G7I8qmiQKb8em7Ag&zoom=1&iact=hc&vpx=91&vpy=2&dur=1981&hovh=197&hovw=255&tx=156&ty=49&sig=105540449913539184966&page=3&tbnh=125&tbnw=161&start=51&ndsp=28&ved=1t:429,r:21,s:51,i:232

If all else fails – heirloom it.  Perhaps your partner’s mother or yours would let you borrow a pair so you can cover your ‘borrowed’ plus she may have some awesome finds that she hasn’t perused in a while.  I can certainly show you non-vintage and ‘normal’, just let me know.
