are you and fi decided on vegas? if so, hurry up and start telling your guests that the wedding is cancelled. if you want to keep the vegas wedding small, don’t send out invites. honestly, i think the website watching is weird and sounds a little like a gift grab.

hurry up and tell people the wedding is off. you don’t want them to waste money booking flights and hotels in miami if you’re not having that wedding. call them and explain that things got out of hand, and you’ve decided to elope instead.

I’d say the previous poster gives good advice. If you’re definitely set on changing your plans, best let everyone know now. As far your FMiL, well, it sounds like she was going to be annoying either way. If you decide to stick with the cruise, you can always tell her that you both wanted to elope, but you’re trying to make the wedding available for her too (in a sweet way:)). Good luck!

It sounds like you’re set on Vegas.  The other posters are right; you need to tell people ASAP that your wedding is cancelled.  Be ready for some possible hurt feelings of people no longer invited, some people get really sensitive around un-invitations.

On a side note, if you decided in the end to stay with a cruise, my sister had her wedding on a boat and it was wonderful!
