With a drop veil, I would go fingertip or slightly longer.  Maybe inbetween fingertip and chapel.

@kcd7: glamgal.com has silk tulle veils.  If you have a local seamstress you can get the silk tulle alot cheaper at Mood.com for $50 per yard.  I have done alot of looking for silk tulle.  Anne at glamgal.com is wonderful to work with and she can custom anything if you don’t see what you want on her web site.   She was the sweetest vendor I worked with during my whole wedding process.

@kcd7: Sorry what’s KM? Whereabouts are you in the world? I thought I wanted a fingertip then I tried a cathedral length veil on and that was it, I felt like a proper bride (and a princess lol)

@tksjewelry: Good work with your finds.

@kcd7: Oh…If you’re getting married in a catholic chrch, cathedral length it must be.

@kcd7:  for length, it is best to measure where you want it to hit in the front to the back.  Take a tape measure, start in the front, hold it there and go up and over your head and measure where you want it to hit in the back.  I went from elbow in the front to below my rear in the back.  Since I am short (5’1″)  I wanted it custom length (which didn’t cost any more).

I love the Cathedral length veil on you! Sometimes I feel like the fingertip veils stop randomly  and don’t flow as well with detailed dresses.

@kcd7: I know glamgals is amazingly soft and is really natural silk tulle (Just like Kate Middletons veil).  From Mood, you can order a sample of it for only $7 ($1+$6 shipping)
