- Wedding: January 2013
I am newly engaged and already feeling a bit overwhelmed. My fiance and I live in Charlotte but have family in the North- we’re the only ones below the Mason Dixon Line. We visit Charleston on an almost monthly basis and were engaged there– our dream is to have a wedding in that lovely city! But our planning attempts are falling flat. We are both catholic and want to be married in the church, but all Catholic churches I have contacted say that they wont marry us because we are not members in the parish. I am so upset already, because we are willing to go there for our pre-cana classes, pay a fee– do whatever it takes. Do any brides have suggestions of churches that allow non-parishioners to be married there?
