I really love the first one. They’re both beautiful and timless but I feel like the first one is a little “cleaner” and show cases the center stone really nicely. Also I feel it would be easier to pair a band with.

I really like the second one, because to my eye when the band narrows on both sides of the head like that, it makes the center stone seem bigger. It’s just visually more interesting to me. And that’s my .02!

I love the tapered ring so much!! It would be beautiful with one of those twisted bands! I’d prefer a 6-prong head but that’s just because I love prongs so much. Truth be told, you cannot go wrong with either of those.

Whenever I get stuck on the LAST TWO options, I usually go with the “will this fit in with my life question”:

For example, the first one is pave.  Will I be able to care for a pave stone?  Will you be ready for the maintenance of a pave which has a higher possibility of stone falling off?

For me, comfort and low maintenance dictates I would choose the SECOND one.

I personally prefer the look of the first. But both are beautiful! ๐Ÿ™‚

OP, I found these on google image. They’re probably not exact matches but very similair to your options. They’re both beautiful and the choice comes down to what you really love more! I hope this helps. : )

Of course they have different sized center stones but this gives you an idea. : )

I absolutely love the taper. It’s still a classic solitare, but with a litle bit of interest. Juat keep in mind that if you go with the taper, you will have a small gap with a wedding band ๐Ÿ™‚

I like the 6 prong of the first one but the tapered band of the second. So I say get a tapered band with 6 prong head

Ugh, I’m trying to decide this same thing but with plain bands instead of pave. Our stones are even the same size about
