I have under 6 weeks to my wedding and I just placed an order for a lace bolero t ogo with the chiffon dress I bought. this got me thinking…I still need some alterations done to the dress I purchased (chiffon) and if I just removed the ugly black lace from the origional dress I purchased and bought one of the nicer off the shoulder lace boleros I saw while I was browsing…I would get the look I was going for and at the same price.
I love the more formal feel of the taffeta, and with the lace I would get that look I love.
I also love the lightness of the chiffon and the unique style of my dress that I haven’t seen elsewhere. I think I look a little skinnier in this one as it is more aline than the taffeta, where the taffeta hugs my curves.
I have attached a pic of the bolero I picked out for the chiffon, and one I have in mind for the taffeta, if I did what I was thinking…
To help, we are having an evening wedding. I have black shoes and a black and white hairpiece with feathers that I am wearing. I haven’t picked out jewelrry but probably just earrings. The colours are yellow and black. It is a french-themed wedding in a very artsy, modern looking building overlooking the water.
Please, please help me.

My gut is saying the white chiffon dress, it would look just beautiful on you!

ABOVE^^^pics of me n the venue 🙂
Thanks ladies. Okay, so the chiffon is formal enough? It doesnt have a train. I am not wearing a veil. I just want to look bridal enough lol. 🙂
I love both dresses.
I think if Icould do it all over Iwould have gone to Davids, bought a simple A line off te rack and that lovely off the shoulder lace topper up there. I am up to almost 1,000 in dresses when my origional budget was under 500, and I really had my eye on a Maggie Sottero that was that price. So it breaks my heart that I did this to myself, Icould have HAD the Maggie gown I was fawning for.
The chiffon is some toronto designer and it was half price, so got it for 500 and the other is my knock off China dress that was about 280.00. Plus alterations and this shrug.

I don’t have a pic of me in the chiffon..it is too big so its been sitting at the seamstress getting alterations… 🙁 my friends who were with me said it was very slimming…I think it was more slimming than the other one

This is a confusing post, but I will say that I don’t think that the first dress pictured does anything for you, so I would go with the other option.
