Hello ladies! So I just started my DIY invitation and it doesnt look or sound right to me!! So please help me with the wording as well as the appropiate format, like what fonts should be larger than others and what kind of spacing ect. We are paying for our own wedding with help from out parents, so we would like to include everyone on the invite. Below is what I have so far vvvv
Miss Jaquelyn Brooke C.
Mr. Jonathan Richard S.
together with their parents
Mr. Dennis C. &
Ms. Jennifer C.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles S.
request the honor of your presence
at their marriage on
Friday the Twenty-Sixth of October Two Thousand and Twelve
At Four o’clock in the evening
At the Wedding Location
La Habra, California
Reception Immediately to Follow
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED. Also if anyone would be so kind to post a pic of their own invites that would be very helpful!

I’m not an expert on this, but I believe it’s “two thousand twelve” without the “and”, and 4:00 would be considered afternoon.

I would not list the names of your parents. I think saying, “Together with their parents” is enough. Also, I would not say “at four o’clock” and “at location”; I would write, “Four o’clock in the afternoon” “location”.

Everything looked fine with the exception of what Westwood said. Just fix those two things and you should be good to go!

@peachacid: That would depend on how formal their function is though. If the parents are paying (or helping a substantial amount) I think it’s nice to have their names on the invite.

I think it’s fine to list your parents names like that. It was important to my parents to have their names listed on the invitation. We wrote ours out the same way.
