I think the flower is a little too big, but I would like to see your dress with a smaller flower or some kind of pretty sash around the waist

I would look at the model photo on the WToo website.  I think the flower is supposed to be a bit more centered, not on the hip.

With that thick band, I would keep the flower or go with another flower or sash.  The band alone is a little unfinished looking.

I wore that dress and kept the flower.  Like your seamstress (who sees lots of dresses) I thought the flower really made the dress too.  And I don’t think the flower is too big–I kinda trust the designer is an expert on proportion for the dress and the band.  My photo is attached.

Whichever you decide, enjoy the dress–it looks beautiful on you!

    I like it better without.

cesira17  had a great idea, putting it on the back would look fabulous!

I was going to suggest the same thing @cesira17 did – can you try it in the back? I love the dress, by the way, it’s gorgeous and suits you really well!

I am wearing the Mimi in April!! 🙂 I swapped the flower out for a floral sash with swarovski crystals on it.  I love the waistband plain as well.

I’m wearing the Mimi in June!  My plan is to have no flower for the ceremony, since I’ll be holding a bouquet.  Then I’ll bustle and add the flower for the reception for a slight change of looks.

I tried Mimi on at a couple different places, and a couple girls really didn’t know how to put the flower on correctly.  The girl that I bought my dress from does it perfectly, and it makes a big difference!

Either way, the dress is amazing.  But I say if you can’t decide, go with both options like me!

I don’t mind an addition of a flower… but I’m not a fan of that one.

I say no flower but a small rhinestoned belt would really make your waist shine!

I know this is years later–but I just have to ask!! I have always lovedd the Mimi dress–especially the flower. I know people either love it or hate it–but it is exactky what I am looking for. I know a lot of people on this thread have said that they wore this dress. I just recently bought one very very similar but a little more flattering on me. I am now looking for just the flower. Anyone out there willing to sell just the flower???
