I am getting married next year in Montreal but have never been before. I’m going up for the first time this May. I’ve been doing tons of research online, trying to find as many possible venues as, well..possible. Anyway, it’s going to be a small wedding about 30-40 people. It’s going to be late spring and I would like to have it in the historic district. History, elegance, food are all important things to me and my fiance. I’m also looking for a secular ceremony site that contributes to the same overall theme. Please help..anybody?

Congrats on your upcoming wedding! I’m a 2011 bride in Montreal as well. We’re getting married at the beautiful Chateau Saint Antoine http://www.chateausaintantoine.com
I am happy to give you information on it!
You can also look into Le Manoir Rouville Campbell, also gorgeous!!

Thanks so much. I will check both of the venues. I am going to Montreal next week for a few days and will hopefully know more after that. Will the entire wedding be at the Chateau? What is the date? Are you from Montreal or is this a destination?

I lived in Montreal for a year, well Longueuil, and May is always such a nice time in Montreal! The downtown life is vibrant & the food everywhere you go is fantastic. It really feels like you’re in some far off European country!
I don’t have any advice regarding venues or anything, but I’m so excited for you! I hope you enjoy your time in Montreal!
