Have you tried spanx to see if that will help smooth out your middle area That was an area of concern for me also in my dress and I found it really helped. I think that you still have enough time that if you try that and it still doesn’t work, then you probably could sell the dress and start looking for another. This is why, knowing me, I did not get my dress until 8 months before, because I probably would have had dress regret 20 times, even though the dress I wore was all me and I loved it!

@Mrs. Doily:  I second the spanx. It works wonders and smoothes everything out. I like the original better compared to the second one you chose. Did you order the dress in the size you are now, or the same size as the sample your wearing? Regardless you have time to make a decision or lose the weight you feel comfortable with.

I had major dress regret while I was waiting for mine to come in. I actually had my first dress fitting on Friday, and fell in love with it all over again!!! I think while were waiting for the dress, it’s natural to second guess our choice since we have time to kill before the dress comes in. I am so glad I stayed with it until it came in, I fell in love with it all over again, and now have no doubts whatsoever that it’s the perfect dress for me.

Is this your actual dress or the store sample? It does look a little tight… Could it be let out some? If not I’d def try spanx underneath. I love the train on your dress and I think with alterations or spanx it’ll look better!

The dress you chose is beautiful!  In the proper size, and with the proper undergarments, it will be perfect.

Go try on the second dress!  You may try it on and then not like it anyway and you’ll be pining away for no reason, or, conversely, you’ll fall in love and know that you need to have the new one.  Also, I would suggest Yummie Tummie over Spanx, having tried both.  Yummie is less constricting–more comfortable.  I am planning to wear a Yummie “briefie” under my dress.

I think as long as the dress doesn’t look too small, it will look pretty. Hopefully since you got the 16 it won’t be an issue, but if it is, I think doing South Beach faithfully for about three weeks before your wedding will make all the difference.

I would try on the second dress… And I’m not saying that because I don’t like the first (I really DO like the first, and I think you’re beautiful in it!), but I am a HUGEEE fan of Maggie Sottero.

I have a LOT more “tummy fat” than you, and my Maggie Sottero dress makes it all disappear – withOUT any spanx or special underwear, or even a bra! Their dresses are soo supportive and beautifully made that no bra or corset or spanx are necessary.. So if you’re concerned about a tiny bit of tummy fat, or being uncomfortable with constrictive layers, I’d recommend trying a Sottero dress first.

And like another poster said, you may end up NOT liking the Sottero! I reallyyy do love the first dress, the train is stunning! But Sottero dresses are just soo comfortable and supportive….

Either way, you look gorgeous as you are, and you have plenty of time to consider your options. ๐Ÿ™‚ Best of luck to you!
