glitterysala :  the centre stone is 5.5mm. My finger is a UK N 1/2. Not sure what size that is in US.

Lol. Simultaneously posted. That’s about a 6.75 us. List a tiny bit more than OP. Super helpful. You’ll have to take some beauty shots of that lovely!

glitterysala :  lol I have WAYYYY too many pictures and vids of it already! I keep catching it looking stunning and then I HAVE to capture it. Never quite does it justice though.

One thing I would say is that I clean mine gently every few days or the sapphire goes a dark navy blue all the time. I just run it under a warm tap, use a little washing up liquid and clean under the stones with a super soft makeup brush and then dry carefully before using my polish cloth on the metal. It makes it POP!!!

crazyinlove2628 :  yes it does!! 😊 that stone is really pretty! Is it a sapphire? If so then it is such an unusual colour! Like a real olive green 😍 Sapphires are great because they are so hardy..much like a diamond.

*blush* You two are sweet. This is fun and I get an excuse to look at amazing gems!

nurseybee55‘s beauty is probably right around 6.2-6.3 mm. But, with the great cut and width added by the side stones you get a great ring with finger coverage. This is why I keep thinking of a 3-stone option for crazyinlove2628 (and I’m slighty in love with the Elle’s Vivant).

Maybe Elle would hold her stone so you could buy Blaze’s stone and see how it strikes you in person. Here’s his policy “All items carry a 10 day satisfaction guarantee. money back . No questions.” It is such a great price and value — shipping it back (if needed) would not be terribly expensive. You’ve narrowed down to your top choices, at this point, it is up to you and your color sense to decide. Go stare at your closet and imagine which would work better for you.

If you go for a three-stone, what about these for sides stones? Great on budget and as long as you keep them clean, like nurseybee55 said about her sapphire, white sapphire would be a nice option that is super on budget. I have a sapphire from this seller and they are quite nice. They have stones in a few sizes, so I’d see what Elle thinks about size and shape.

  • Budget stretch, but this looks pretty amazing (8.12×8.13, 2.18 c)–same size at 2 carat diamond).

  • Another parti sapphire.

surprisedOK, I’ve hit the end of every seller I can think of between these and the previous post.

glitterysala :  I think UK engagement ring trends seem to favour a more subtle finger coverage whereas US seem to have the most WHOPPING stones!! I love the finger coverage I get…the three stones pad it out nicely (you are right on point there) and as I have quite short fingers I will be able to fit a wedding ring on without it hitting my knuckle lol. I think that is an important aspect to consider also, length of finger. If you have long fingers you can pull off a bigger stone.

Do you see what I mean about the size vs the length of my finger. I don’t think I could have carried off a bigger stone personally.

crazyinlove2628 :  You can definitely pull off bigger than that I reckon. I think between 1ct and 1.5ct depending on how ‘blingy’ you want it to be! I can’t wait to see the finished ring!!
