I understand why you wouldn’t mind shelling out the dough required to get one of these boxes. They’re beautiful, and I think they make for a much more elegant presentation than the clunky boxes that often come from jewelers. I think the Laureate is a beautiful choice.

mrhopeless :  if you’re willing to pay that much for a common, plain velvet box,  why not get a light up rosewood box or custom engraved box from Etsy?

I agree with all the PPs that said to not buy a $75 box. That’s ridiculous. You can get them for way cheaper on etsy if that style is what you’re set on. I keep my ring in the original box it came in when my fiance proposed to me, which was the box moissaniteco sent the ring in.

Wow.  Well, if she’s into that sort of thing, I’m sure any one will be fine.  Green is my favorite color though as well and I think two of those are kind of ugly shades of green, so I guess I would go with which ever one is closest to her favorite shade.

Personally, I would be mad at my Fiance for spending $75 on a rather plain looking box that probably cost less than $2 to make when I’m going to wear the ring the majority of time anyway.  And if I’m going to also have a wedding band eventually, don’t I need two ring boxes to hold them both if I’m using it for when I’m not wearing them or do I just cram them both in there?  I’d much rather have a ring holder or something for the bathroom or my nightstand or a nice jewelry multipurpose jewelry box than a plain ring box that can only hold one ring.  And in reality, if I’m planning a wedding, I’d rather the $75 go towards something more useful.  At the very least, it’s a pretty decent date night out.  But that’s just me.

I’d rather have a ring dish – one of those swans or giraffes, etc… that you put the ring on while you’re asleep. I throw the boxes away immediately.

i like the Ellington! I think that tone of green would really compliment your ring.
