I’m hoping someone knows a little something about veil widths! Who knew there were so many specifications!! I’m ordering from a Etsy a Chapel length drop 2 tier veil. Flat top with no gathering on the comb. I think the length will be about 96inches.
Here’s where i’m confused- The width is 108″ and i’m wondering if that’s too wide. Ideally, I’d like my veil to lay completly flat and come all the way around covering my arms. However, I’m only 5’1 and will be wearing 4 inch heels. I have no idea if my height matters or what the width should be!
I’ve included a pic of how I’d like it to lay…it’s Amy Adams in “The Wedding Date”. Sorry the pic is so small. Please help!!

108 is not too wide especially if you want it to cover your shoulders because its usually puckered or gathered around the comb. Having said that the best way to choose is to try them on. I went over to davids bridal and tried on a few i think I ended up going with one that 90 inches wide. I chose the smaller one because I liked the metallic edge

Tulle comes standard in two widths. 108 and 54 inches. they typically say 108 is better for a longer veil because it looks more balances, but if you are not having any gathers it may end up being really wide.
When I was making mine, I used 108″ tulle. After I had cut it out it was about cathedral length. and the piece was almost square. However I did lots of gathering and it shortened up quite a bit.
Hope that helps. Maybe ask your etsy seller what they recommend?
