So..a friend of mine has a son who is a violin prodigy and he is going to play the music at our ceremony.
I’m super stoked but also have been overwhelmed with this task of choosing the music.
I looked up songs by Vitamin String Quartet as they have the modern ones…the tricky thing is that this will be a solo…so it’s hard to tell how it will sound. I will buy/provide sheet music and he will use at the ceremony. I’d like to get it to him ASAP though so he can practice and prepare.
Her are some of my ideas:
Somwhere Only We Know
Called Out in the Dark
Wedding Party Entrance
A Thousand Years (Pt. 2)
I’m debating between Hide & Seek or Canon in D
We are Young
I found all of these on Spotify by Vitamin String Quartet if you care to listen. Do you have any thoughts? I’m up for switching out songs or the order as I’m not sure what will sound best where. I just need to figure out and decide. Also, any tips of where to find free or cheap sheet music is much appreciated.
If there are any violin playing bees who are familiar with Suzuki method, he knows books 1-5 so would appreciate any songs in those books as recommendation for the ceremony.
