@starrysim: The dress is gorgeous!! As for the veils, I definitely recommend the one you have on in the pic because it will hit at a length before the fullness of the skirt of your dress starts (if that makes sense!). The longer ones would take away from the flowy part of the dress. So either the shortest one out of these three, or an even shorter one! My veil meets the top of the back of my dress and is one layer (my dress is also strapless). I would also say no necklace because you don’t want to take away from the sweetheart neck, but i would do some delicate earrings if your hair will be all or half up. And definitely a delicate bracelet that coordinates with the earrings. That’s all I would do for jewelry! Good luck!

@starrysim: I LOVE the last veil in that post.. I’m usually not a fan of multi-layer veils but that one is so pretty! Mine is the length of the shorter layer of the 2-layer one. And as far as a flower.. what about putting it where the veil attaches but more towards one side(personally, I don’t like symmetry)? and then for the reception, if you’re removing your veil, the flower would be the only thing left so it would still give it a little something. I’m having pearl bobby pins (passed down to me from my Future Mother-In-Law from her mother who got them from her mother, etc.. they are my something old πŸ™‚ The bobby pins are going to be right at the top of my half-up do so they will be very subtle, and then when the veil is taken out the pearls will show a little more. so you could do something similar with the flower. Even if you are going to use a real flower for the ceremony, I suggest at least attaching it to a bobby pin or some type of wire right before you insert it so that it will stay in your hair. Another thing to keep in mind is that when you remove the veil for the reception, your hair may get a little messed up, so switching from a real flower to a chiffon one (also on a wire) would give you a chance to poke back in some stray hairs that may have puffed up with the veil removal.

I love that last veil! I think it will totally work! Could you do the flower for the reception? And beautiful dress, btw!

@starrysim: You could absolutely remove the veil and add the flower for the reception and not wear the flower for the ceremony. That’s probably what I would do. You don’t want it to look like you couldn’t decide so just stuck everything in there. Also, I saw your date and I’m curious as to having it on a Wednesday? Is there a specific reason it’s that date? I haven’t seen many dates in the middle of the week and I’m always curious if they have special meaning πŸ™‚ Mine’s just 3 days after yours!
