Usually not for dress regret but #2 is amazing

cloud9bride :  That sounds like a good plan–see if the dress 1 store is willing to work with you. If they aren’t, it’s lucky you didn’t alter it yet. I’m sure you could sell it online or take it to a consignment shop.

cloud9bride :  I think dress 2 is STUNNING on you, and in my opinion it is a better fit with the venue. Plus the lace detailing is to die for! I also find dress 1 to be very pageant/prom due to the combo of the shape and where the beading/lace is. Plus, the beading/lace just looks so heavy, it really feels like it doesn’t mesh with the bottom of the dress. I totally understand wanting to take your fiance’s breath away though! Maybe you could find something at the first store that is shaped similarly to dress 1?? Maybe something like this?

Dress 2 by far. The skirt of the first one looks uncomfortably tight. It looks like it would be hard to move freely in and you’d be sucking in your tummy all day.  The seond one looks spetacualr on every level and looks far more comfortable. It’s SO beautiful!

Love #1! The accentuated hips to me is a + not a -. Doesn’t look tight at all.. it’s meant to be figure hugging. I think it’s a very flattering shape! However the second one kind of suits the venue a bit more… perhaps something in between like the other person suggested. But the takeaway for me is if you’ve got it flaunt it!!! No use covering up a figure like that, especially when you’ve worked so hard for it.

I vote #1! Don’t hide your figure under all that lace! I’m sure they can add some lace to the bodice of #1 if that makes you feel more comfortable, definitely check your options. It’s really a stunner and way sexier than #2, hope you keep it 🙂

cloud9bride :  Of the presented options, I prefer #2

While I understand your impulse to wear something close fitting – and you absolutely deserve to show off – I think that particular gown has some qualities that don’t work super well for you.

The transition between the top and bottom is too abrupt. It segments your figure in a way that isn’t as flattering as it could be. I think it would be tough to add lace in a way that would remedy that. It’s possible a seamstress could make the change, but I think on the whole you’d be better off with a different gown.

The dress above is a Stella York

Feminine Sheer Lace Wedding Gown

A few other options I like with a high neck, slimmer shape, which should still be easy to move in and match your venue:

I think you have a gorgeous and grand venue. I think #1 really isn’t as dramatic as it should be. I think another gown with more detail will keep you from being overwhelmed by your surroundings. You want to shine in your gown, and #1 just doesn’t sparkle enough for you.

Another vote for 2, although you look stunning in both! Not only do I prefer 2, but it looks more comfortable. Id hate feeling like I had to suck my stomach in all night after eating and drinking. Lol!

Not saying you would!!! I don’t mean that offensively AT ALL. You have a gorgeous figure. But me personally, I’d rather have the sweatpants feel if you know what I mean. Lol!
