Please help me decide what veil to choose with this dress:
Option 1 is a GORGEOUS elbow length Alencon Lace Veil but I am concerned it may be too much with all of the detail already inherent in the dress
Option 2 is a simple, classic two tier cathedral length veil.
Option 3 would be to look for a combo of the lace in Option 1 but in a Cathedral length

i love both the veils but personally i would choose the plain edge cathedral length. your dress is so beautiful with all the intricate details the plain edge will really make your dress stand out.

@totheislnds: Thanks! I have a classic 2-tier cathedral veil I purchased with the dress and, at the time of my purchase I absolutely agreed with your line of thought. I think the sheer beauty (no pun intended) of this other Alencon veil got the best of me!

I think the cathedral length plain edge veil will really accentuate the beauty of the dress itself, while the others will take too much attention away from the dress and more on the veil. And it is really beautiful too!

I love the cathedral length veil with it, I think the ones w/ the lace will compete too much with the dress.

First of all, gorgeous dress!!
Secondly, I have a similar kind of dress…lace, layered bottom and decided on a very simple catherdal length veil because I didn’t want anything to take away from the details of my dress! Good luck =)

i agree that doing a combination of option 1 & 2 is a good idea, BUT i think picking the other element from each, so instead of having cathedral length with the lace detail (as you said it would compete with the detail of the dress) i suggest having the elbow length with no lace detail, it would not compete with the detail and it wouldn’t cover up the layers like the cathedral length would

but out of those three the cathedral one is the best

I like option 2…. The raw edge matches your dress 🙂
