Hi lovely bees! I’m down to two dresses for my December 2014 wedding and need to buy them tomorrow at the latest. I’d like a dress that is fitted to the body and makes me feel WOW! I love a combination of sexy yet sophisticated and elegant. My personality is such that I love being the center of attention but with a sense of sophistication too. I do love these two dresses, though you have to use your imagination as the first one was not clipped correctly and in reality it would be tighter in the body. Thank you SO Much in advance for your help! The first dress is Pronovias and needs to be taken in a bit on the bust.
Second dress is Matthew Christopher “Sophia”:

I think you should have added a poll.
I really like both dresses. of having to choose, I’d say the Matthew Christopher 2nd one.
I honestly think you should look a little more though. Both are lovely but dont do you justice for that WOW factor you want. You seem to have wide shoulders and are pretty straight waisted/straight hipped, so you need something to define your waist more! Although lovely, I’m not sure either of these dresses do it for you.

Thank you! This helps a lot and I agree with your comments about my shape. I only had two weeks to look at dresses cause my wedding is in less than two months from now 🙂 Thanks a lot!

These are both stunning! I think I like the second one a bit better on you though! Both gorgeous though.

I was thinking the same. I think that silhouette of dress isn’t the most flattering.

Beautiful dresses, but the mermaid silhouette makes your shoulders look really broad. I’d experiment with some more styles!

Thanks! What silhouette of dress do you think would complliment by body? I have tried: sheath, ball gown, mermaids, trumpets, A-lines and was told consistently to stick with these style: mermaid and trumpet…

Congrats on finding two dresses you love! You can’t go wrong in your selection… Based on the pics you posted, I like the second one. It’s romantic yet has a little edge (because of the linear lines in the embroidery & lace). I can bet that dress will look fantastic with a veil and some chandelier earrings! I want to stress that both dresses are gorgeous! 🙂 Good luck in making your selection!

I know I’ve seen the Matthew Christopher Sophia on at least one other bride on this site, and it is a gorgeous dress. Definitely more of a statement than the Pronovias. And as someone who is also fairly straight-waisted and narrow-hipped, I think these dresses look great on you! You clearly have a very slim shape and the dresses show your shape off nicely.

They are both gorgeous on you, but my favorite it definitely the second one. It fits your shape better in my opinion! 🙂

I love your choices! I love lace- so elegant! Both dresses are gorgeous for sure but my vote is for the first one… with a sparkly beaded sash. A little bit of bling would add some fun to your sophisticated style!

Both are stunning! That shape is so flattering on you. I vote No. 2. The pattern of the lace is SO unique and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Something about the pattern makes you look even more hourglassy!

I think the first one is much more eelegant and classy. I dont like the colouring of the second, nor the diamond shaped lace in the stomach, it kind of draws attention and makes your stomach look wider rather than drawing it in. I would choose the first one, and add maybe a belt or sash to highlight the waist. Itherwise try something trumpet or fit and flair that is ruched satin like the old faithful la sposa fanal.

That Matthew Christopher is lovely…I think it’s beautifully detailed and has a bit of a unique touch to it…the first one is pretty too, but much more traditional.
