It’s really hard to judge the dresses pictured on someone else’s body, because what looks good on one figure might not be as flattering on another one.  I think they’re both gorgeous dresses.  And, from what I would assume would be most flattering on you would be the dress in the first picture (that you’re pictured wearing, correct?).

Did you try on the 2nd dress?  Which dress did you like best on you?  Which were you most comfortable in?

#1) you cannot afford it. It’s above your budget. And, i don’t think there’s enough space for your boobs! I have this problem, too, and it just chops your figure off. There’s not enough vertical material for the empire style for you.

#2) did you try it on? I’m not a fan of what i call “the crotch chop”…that line across the girls hips? it says “please look, my vagina is here”. And my eyes ZERO in on it. Seriously!!! It’s such a strange style and VERY few people pull this off well. For me, i tried a Casablanca style like this and it made my hips look ginormous. And i don’t think it’s vintage at all.

I know i’m not helpful, but i’m not feelin’ it.

Both dresses are very pretty.  Do you have a picture of you in the second one?  It is hard to make a call without seeing it on you.

have you tried the second one on? I agree that it is hard to judge a dress on a model or someone thats not you. I personally dont think you should get a dress that is over budget. I think you will regret it and harbor resentment, at least I would…the guilt would get to me.

    I LOVE THE SECOND ONE!!!!!!!!!

Its so classic and beautiful. I would love to see pics of it on YOU though. I think the first one does absolutely nothing for you.

I’d have to see a pic of you in the 2nd. The dress I ended up with, I thought would be really unflattering when I saw it but it was actually the MOST flattering. It’s so hard to tell how something is going to look on.

Have you tried David’s Bridal? I know some people don’t like it but I had a great experience there. They have most of the dresses in many sizes to try on and my consultant actually picked the dress  that I ended up with. I am thicker in the middle and have the dreaded armpit/back fat and I was trying on loose flowy dresses with straps to hide it when actually the strapless A-line looked waaayyy better.

I think you can definitely find more flattering dresses than these within the same style. Keep looking sweetheart.

The first dress is beautiful but I’m sure you can find something just as beautiful in your budget.  I found my dress at a store that’s not very big or well know for much, much less.  Then the money you save can be used for something fun, a photobooth or a great DJ!

Honestly, I don’t think either one would be the most flattering style on your body type; but it would be best if we saw a picture of you in the 2nd one!

Not a fan of either, like the others, I would try David’s and try on multiple style until you find the style that is perfect for you.
