I LOVE my engagement ring. It’s our 5 year anniversary upgrade ring. I’m having wedding band trouble…my e ring has a lot of detail on it that extends to the bottom of the ring (down against my finger) that will be covered up and hidden unless the wedding band is very small/very low. My old original band is too high and covers up some of the bling. Someone said that this type of ring is meant to be worn alone. What do you think? Included are pictures of the ring with no band, with my old band and a pic with the band I’m considering. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!

katiejettnikko : Hmm, I personally would want to wear a wedding band, so it’s up to you. I’d say a thin band like the one in the third picture or even a low profile plain band could work. You could also go without, your choice!

I vote the bottom band or a low profile plain band like DonutGirl suggested. 🙂

I like it a lot without. I also like the low profile band, you see most of the detail. Keep in mind, from the front view, (others looking at your ring) they will see it without the band regardless 😀
its a beautiful ring, love the detail!!

No band! Very pretty!! I don’t wear a band with my upgrade either.

katiejettnikko : I like your set in the last picture. I think it goes well and brings out the bling on the sides more

I like the last picture best with the super thin band that looks very classy . I had the same issue finding a new band for my ring 💍.. good luck 🍀

I actually like it with your old band. My engagement ring has details on the profile and my wedding band covers some of it up. It really doesn’t bother me now that I’m used to wearing the band. Can we see pictures of it from the top?

I really like it with your old band!

I’m having the exact same dilemma with my 3-stone! I haven’t tried any bands on yet so I don’t know what I’ll do.
For your situation, I think I like the last one best. I think it sits low enough to where it doesn’t hide any of your e-rings natural bling – I think it actually plays it up nicely.

I like without but I’m biased. I wear a solitaire that has 2 -1/4 ct round diamonds on each side and I don’t want a band rubbing on the diamonds. But if it was either or-I like your original band better.

Thanks so much for the responses, everyone! It seems like opinions are equally split 3 ways. I sent my ring off for sizing right after posting this a few days ago and unfortunately it won’t be back for 10 days, so I can’t take any pics from straight above it. I hate being without it!! Thanks again 🙂
