well i have posted in quite a few threads about how i am definately making my own coloured crinoline, its so easy and so cheap, and i love making my own stuff.
my dress maker said i shouldnt need one but the back is droopy and it definately needs a lift.
my favorite colour has always been purple/lilac…..and i initially wanted a lilac petticoat with purple shoes.i have seen pics on here somewhere and they are stunning!
then i got to thinking , i have a gold dress, will purple GO with a gold dress? maybe i should go with yellow, and wear blue shoes. (i actually like the yellow/blue combo)
but then will the Yellow just get lost in the folds of a gold dress? i think it might…..
i already bought the yellow fabric but it wont go to waste as i will be making my bridesmaids short petticoats, and will use it up for one of them, so thats not an issue.
the fabric only cost me £10 and i think thats a pretty good price.
so ladies, i have posted a pic of my dress, (oh yes again)
and in your opinions, what colour do you think would look nicer , lilac or yellow….
another thing i thought is, although my girls will all be wearing the same style of dress but in different pastel colours, my daughter is my Maid/Matron of Honor, and she will be wearing lilac also, so that might kind of match us two together if i too had lilac….
i really would appreciate your views on it…..thanks in advance…..
i think the dressmaker is wrong, look at the droopy back, looks like i got a baggy bum!
and here is my inspiration picture for my girls…..as you can see, they are wearing short petticoats and i will be making them too.
