Hi Bees. It’s Friday night, and my 10 year college reunion is this weekend. I am going out tomorrow night to dinner with my two best friends from college, and I’m not close to anyone else- most of my best friends I met post-college. I got the list of who is going, and there is only one other person going who would be worth talking to for five minutes. My two friends are awesome people, but we have grown apart some. One of my two friends is a social butterfiy, so won’t have a lot of time to hang out. It’s $40, a bit of a drive, and I don’t feel like going.
My other option is a party that is three minutes from my house, very laid back with several of my friends planning to be there. I want to go there, but feeling a little guilty- my reunion doesn’t come very often, and these two friends of mine are in town, and I feel like I SHOULD go to the reunion, but don’t really want to. Please help me decide!

I vote for the party with your friends. You should do what you want to do, not what you think you *should* do 🙂

Could you do both? Go to your reunion visit for a bit and then drive back home and go to your party? If you can’t swing both, then I say go to your party, HAHAHHAHAHAH

I voted for the reunion. Why?
Because whenever i feel this way I usually end up having a ton of fun when I go. And hey you could always leave early and swing by the party!

I have had a blast at every reunion I have attended (My twenty is next month). I have made a ton of great friends with people I never spoke to in school. Go to the reunion, then leave early if you are not having fun. I don’t think you will regret it.

Blegh forget the reunion! Go do what you wanna do! I don’t think reunions are that much fun anyways-you see the people you wanna see outside of them.

There may be people who aren’t on the list who will be at the reunion (like you I assume). Reunions can be fun!

I’d probably skip the reunion. The only 2 worth seeing are the people you’re going out to dinner with right? So you’ll have time to catch up then without having to suffer through a reunion. And it sounds like you’ll have lots of fun at the other party.

Go where you feel more comfortable, you are going to see your best friends tomorrow.
