Please help me define spaces for my reception. I drew up 2 options, please let me know what you think or if you have any other suggestions!
Option 1:
For the dining section we are going to have 2 6’ banquet tables pushed together to make 12’ tables. There will be 3 rows of 4 tables. With about a foot of space between each table (just enough to define tables for table numbers..not much room to walk through) Dance floor in the middle with the buffet tables on the other side. The buffet area needs to stay here because it is right next to the kitchen. In the entrance area will be the escort cards, guest book table, a few cocktail tables, etc. With the middle section empty.
Option 2: Amount of tables will stay the same except now we can put more room between each table and have the dance floor area in the middle of the entrance way and we would still have room for the guest book tables, cocktail tables, etc.
My Fiance prefers option 1..but here are my concerns. What if people want to dance while others eat. They will have to walk across the dance floor to get to the food and I don’t want anyone to run into someone dancing and spill their food all over themselves.. He doesn’t like opt 2 because he doesn’t think there should be a dance floor right in the entrance way.
Please help!
