Hi everybody! I’m having a super hard time looking for bridesmaids dresses. I have looked at a lot of bridesmaids dress companies in addition to places like shabby apple (online stores) and nordstroms/kohls/macy’s (department stores). What I’m looking for are gray (preferably darker like charcoal) dresses that are made of a loose, flowy, casual looking material such as chiffon. The most critical factor, for religious reasons, are that the bridesmaids need to have approximately knee length or longer dresses and at least cap sleeves. The cap sleeve or longer part is killing me. I can’t seem to find anything. Not to mention they are graduate students and I feel awful asking them to spend more than like $150.
Here are some examples of what I am looking for:
I think this would be perfect, but it’s really expensive ($250).
Perfect color and style:
Can anybody help me find something with sleeves, gray, no shiny materials, and not super expensive? I know it’s looking for a lot, but I would really love having these dresses. I’ve been looking for what seems like forever and the wedding is coming up soon. Please help!

I’m having a hard time locating a dress to meet your preferances, I found this one :
but it doesn’t come in grey.
If you can find a dress how you want, but not offered in your color, http://www.dressilyme.com can custom make it for you, in your bridemaid sizes. [anywhere from $90 to $150].

@jenilynevette: Do you mean that they will make one of their dresses into your color? Or any dress into that color?

@bailey12: I’d see about these at Target, and then see if you can buy an extra one or 2 for the fabric to have cap sleeves made and attached-since these are so inexpensive! Although, I don’t know what they are really like quality-wise. They come in all sizes!
Could you get away with this-it has a ruffle neck?–And it looks a little longer.

@bailey12: They can make any of their own dresses into any color they offer, AND they can also replicate up to 95% acurracy dresses from other places/websites, but you’ll need to provide them with plenty of pictures.

Bari Jay has cap sleeve dresses. I saw some yesterday. He also has a lot of
colors. Did you look at the Knot where u can search by color and sleeve and there are websites where u can narrow it down also

What about something like this?
It’s an Alfred Sung (Style D502) sold through the Dessy Group:

If their shoulders need to be covered up, many strapless dresses also come with shawls. You can have them wear that over their shoulders and maybe that would be sufficient?

Oh, I feel your pain. I want a wedding dress with cap sleeves (hates when you see that small roll in your armpit) as well as for my bridesmaids. So difficult! Had a look at Ruche and found this:
But the fabric isn’t right… Perhaps you can find something through:

Allure has a few bridesmaids dresses in the ~$200 range that are long with short sleeves. Beware that the one bridesmaid that I had drama with (and is no longer in the wedding) didn’t think they were modest enough for her religious requirements.
They also have a few others with straps but are sleeveless.
You might want to try looking at regular cocktail dresses or evening gowns at a department store like Macy’s or Nordstrom.

@jenilynevette: Thank you! That’s great to know!
@Anise: Yeah. I have seen those. I will suggest them, but I’m also not sure that they would work. Can’t hurt to try!
@edub: Omg. I love that second dress. I’m going to see what they think. I’m not sure if the back is too low cut. Definitely looks perfect though!
@gelaine22: Thanks! Some of these might be pretty good options.
@TogetherThroughLife: For Her and For Him looks great! I think I may have found a perfect dress on that website! Thank you so much!
Thank you for everybody’s help! This gives me a great starting place!
