I’ve been hitting up Google, but it seems like most Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses out there are still satin – none of my girls are crazy about it, to say the least! We are having a semi-formal affair, so they also felt satin dresses would be a bit “much” for the wedding.
So if anyone could give us a hand in finding light grey (as long as they aren’t as dark as charcoal, we’re good), cocktail-length dresses in matte fabric, we would all appreciate it very much! My generous BMs will be paying for their own dresses, so each will be picking something in their personal style within these guidelines. Bonus points if the dresses are (a) not one-shouldered, as my gown is and I’d like for it to be unique, and (b) available online.

Try http://www.dessy.com/. There’s some different designers and different shades of gray. I’m using gray also and have been looking into the Alfred Sung dresses.
If you just click Bridesmaid Dresses at the top and then select the gray color, it’ll show you all the dresses you can get it gray.

I second J Crew. Gorgeous flowy fabrics!

Bari Jay has a nice color called silvercee. They don’t have a ton of cocktail length dresses that aren’t satin, but they have a lot of floor length chiffon dresses that I’m sure you could shorten.
ETA: It almost looks purple here, but I’ve seen the swatch in person and it’s a nice light grey.

These are all Bari Jay
The mid gray is called Shadow, and the lighter grey is the Silvercee that @mikaylav3 mentioned
This is Dessy (Dessy Collection Style 2802)
This is After Six Bridesmaid Style 6574 (from Dessy.com) both in platinum

I’ve never heard of Bari Jay, so THANK YOU for introducing me to their dresses; they look divine! Both Silvercee and Shadow look like they could work; I wouldn’t mind if my BMs ended up with a mix of grey shades. I’m going to send these pics to the girls to keep them on the right track 😉
Keep ’em coming, please!
