I have been surfing the bee now for some time in search for the lace dress, but I have not found one yet that I am sure I wanna get.
I am getting married in a year, but the order and delivery times for the dresses I like (MAGGIE SOTTERO, ENZOANI, Allure) Have a loooong (lol) waiting time in these parts where I live (Ireland/Scandinavia) it might take 6-7 months according to the bridal stores, is this sensible you think? I need some serious help finding a dress that would be THE dress, I want to get this wedding dress ordeal done with already! ^_^ I am working on a full sleeve tattoo on my right arm, and I am tattooed on my left arm, but I have no intention of covering them up, so strapless, sweetheart, scooped neckline lace dresses would be great! 😀 I am 5.5 and my goal weight for wedding is 110lbs. I have lost a lot of weight and planning on loosing even more before the big day!! 😀
Here are my preferences so you get an idea on what kind of dresses that I like:
Dresses that I know look good on me are either slim a-line dresses, fitted a-line, and full a-line dresses, some less fluffier ball gowns too.
Some styles that I really really like:
Diana, Fatima, Erin, Cincinatti from Enzoani
Poppy, Catarina, Toni, Natalie, (from Sottero Midgley), Natalie,
Please post your lace weddingdress so i find some inspiration 🙂
Thanks bees!! <3

I know we have a year long or so Lace dress thread running around here somewhere…..if you do a search for it you could get some quick inspiration until some more ladies have something to offer!

Here is mine:
It’s Alvina Valenta, but they do go for a little more than the brands you mentioned 🙁

There we go.. ! Thanks bees, I liked them both, but the watters gown was really stunning! 😀

I wore the Diana and loved it… I also really like the Dakota–they’re very similar. This post showed one bee in a couple different Enzoani dresses: http://boards.weddingbee.com/topic/enzoani-lace-dress-comparison

I wore Enzoani Dakota and I loved it. I would have changed a thing about it 🙂

@Pomapoo: That dress looks amazing on you! Thanks for sharing the picture! 😀 I also saw that post, and they are ALL pretty. MY o MY how will I ever decide :D:D
Thanks Bakerella, and that picture of you guys look amazing, I have seen it a few times 😀 I love that dress, the style too but unfortunately I have not had the chance to try that style of dress so i don’t know how I would look. You certainly look good in that dress though! 😀

I know you said the waiting times on Maggie and Enzoani are long but these are my favourite lace dresses, I tried the Maggie one on, but lace didn’t look as good on me as I hoped.

I’m wearing Enzoani Diana. I can’t wait!

We are exactly the same height/weight–I have tried on a TON of lace dresses and I could probably help you…could you maybe post pics of your top 3 or describe in more detail what you’re looking for? For example, do you want all-over lace or just partial, do you want lace that is more flowery or more paisley looking, do you like embellished lace (beading, sequins, etc) or plain, do you want a heavier or lighter fabric (some lace dresses have netting underneath and are very light, others have satin underneath or are covered in beading and are VERY heavy)…
Let me know! I know how hard this search can be! Good luck.

Hi Bees! I am so happy for the responses, I am feeling a bit stressed since I need to order the dress really really soon :(:( So I am grateful for your help!
My all time favourites are *DRUMROLL*
Maggie Sottero Catarina
I kinda figured that these dresses are fairly popular here in Weddingbee, and to be honest I am too tired to find pictures.. Sorry people!! :(:(
I like lace appliques as much as partial /full lace dresses. Diana is really great, but what I am worried about with that style of dress is the fit around the hips and thighs. :)Diana girls, do you know how “TIGHT” those dresses are in the hips thigh area?
Fabric wise, I don’t really mind heavy light. I have tried mostly heavy corseted beaded lace dresses too so I feel comfortable with that as well.
