Okay, this is driving me nuts. And as much as I love cake I can’t keep making them to test them, or I’ll be a giant cow (even though I usually save two cupcakes and give the rest away.)
I’m making my own wedding cupcakes, with a cake up at the top for Fiance and I. I just for the life of me can’t make a commitment to one. Please help!

I voted for lemon cake, but I think all of those options sound really yummy. I think you should definitely pick more than one flavor, but it’s up to you and how much you can handle!
How many do you have to make?

Strawberry cake and cream cheese filling sounds great. It is unique but has mass appeal.
Although, I see now that you are having a wedding in October so a strawberry cake might feel a little seasonally off. Have you thought about a hazelnut cake with chocolate ganache? That might have a little more seasonality or perhaps the spice cake.
I guess it depends on if you want your cake to match the season. 🙂

We’re only having about 40 people, but we’re all big on cake, so I would probably make about 60, at least. We’re also having other desserts too, but for some reason the cake is the only one I can’t choose!

Mmmm. Spice cake and cream cheese. Love it! We’re doing an October wedding too and I think that’s going to be one of our tiers. I love me some cream cheese icing.

Hi, fellow Hoosier bride! I think a combination would be best. We’re doing a three-layer cake, with layers of yellow cake (FI’s favorite – he’s weird), dark chocolate and raspberry. I think it will please the small masses a bit more. However, I definitely think you should offer the spice cake as an option – it’s a very fall flavor for a fall wedding, especially here in Indiana. Some of the other flavors sound delicious, but they just don’t taste like fall.

I like the strawberry with either strawberry or cream cheese. I don’t know if its because I like it or because I see it often but I think it would be more popular. I chose a white cake with fresh strawberries and vanilla custard. We though it’d be the best way to please as many people as possibe.

I would go with the chocoalte and raspberry. The other cakes sound really good as well, but I think the majority of people most like chocolate and raspberry.

I vote lemon/cream cheese because I don’t like chocolate =. But, the chocolate-raspberry kinda sounds good.
We offered 3 kinds: carrot cake/apricot mousse filling, white cake with strawberry, and chocolate with chocolate. All went over well but we had more chocolate left over!

The lemon cream cheese is what’s in my kitchen right now. I’ve seen people who put little flags on their cupcakes saying what flavor each is, and I like that. I could do three kinds, I think, any more and I start to feel overwhelmed by the prospect of doing it all!

All of these sound so good to me, I love cake. But my absolute favorite is red velvet with cream cheese frosting!
