For the life of me I can not figure out what type of shoes to wear for my Destination Wedding in Mexico. I am most likely getting married on the beach but there is a chance I will use the Gazeebo area near the pool. (I will decide when I get there)
I have a white lace mermaid dress with a little bit of beading.
If I get married on the beach I will be barefoot. But I need to wear shoes for dinner and the reception.
Im looking for something nice (not flip flops) with a small heal.
What I don’t want is to have my dress dragging all over the place during the reception getting all torn up.
If I hem my dress with heals for the reception then it may be way too long and will drag all over the beach.
I have seen a lot of very nice shoes but I can’t seem to find any “delicate” looking shoes that will look good with my lace dress.

what about a pair of kitten heel shoes/sandals(not flip flops)?? I couldn’t load your dress and I don’t know what color you are looking for but I think that may be a nice option for you.

What about something like this? they’re glittery, pretty, and low heels…

@julies1949: Those are very cute. I don’t see them going with the dress though.
@sarahbabs: My main color is purple with pink accents.
I think one of my problems is that there are so many shiny statement shoes and I think that something more subtle will look better. I thought about getting purple shoes too.

@julies1949: +1. Love those. Elegant and simple and very practical for walking on sand! I like the way they complement the beading on your dress, too.

These are a little more delicate… all white so may match better???

Very pretty dress.
If you wish to do the sandal option sans heels, how about this Carvela Kracker Sandals, at 39£ from Kurt Geiger.
Or, if you are keen on heels, how about these few options, depending on desired height and budget. If you are worried about sinking should you also wear the same pair on the beach instead of barefoot, you can try heel stoppers as below, where you attached them to your heels. You can get them from Prettypinktoes.co.uk ranging from plain ones at 5£ or blinged ones at 10£.
1. Super High end – Christian Louboutin No Prive Glittered Platform Slingback from Neiman Marcus at $845
2. High-price – Badgley Mischka Ryanne Pumps from Macy’s at $235
3. Mid-price – Nine West Altemis Dress Sandals from Macy’s at $79
4. Budget – Debut Light Pink Cross Bow Strap Kitten Heels from Debenhams at 20£

Any DIYers out there?
What do you think about buying plain kitten heel shoes and jazzing them up a little with lace? I will have some scraps from hemming my dress.
Just a thought.
