i would use life. since you’re getting married, the idea is that 2 lives are becoming 1, so it’s singular.

Are you having a religious ceremony? Marriage is a covenant not commitment. Or you could change it to are United in Holy Matrimony.

i agree with @florencep. either say “united in holy matrimony” or “united in the covenant of marriage”

If you’re both Christian I think covenant of marriage should be ok.  If you are worried about being too religious, it is definitely religious… Do both of your religions view marriage as a covenant?

Why don’t you just use the traditional United in Holy Matrimony.  That should not offend anyone and is appropriate for all religions.
