@DayDay:  when is your wedding? You don’t need to have a theme if you know all your colours and they flow together. You will be fine

Who needs a theme? You are bringing in all the things you like, it sounds lovely.

What do you mean by a program?

You should just ignore your food choice and make your theme “a romantic evening.”  You already have the romantic vibe and lots of candles and I think ivory and champagne are very romantic colors.  Just include some tulle or lace in some of your decor and you’re set.  For your program maybe you should choose something printed on ivory paper with peonies or garden rosesor whatever flower you’re using in champagne ink and with section titles or your names or accent flowers in coral, or tie it together with coral ribbons, etc…

OK I see, the programs for the ceremony. Honestly I don’t think it matters much, most people won’t care.I would forget about the Italian buffet (which is part of the reception) and match it to the ceremony. A couple of suggestions: (1) plain design in your main colour; (2) main colour + a floral design to match the flowers you are using, (3) main colour with a candle in the corner to go with your candlelit ceremony.

@DayDay:  try to match all your stationary together. So whichever way your invites looked, try to match it up a bit

@DayDay:  I meant forget about it when designing your invites. There’s nothing wrong with serving an Italian buffet, that’s for sure.

Actually, the candle light, Italian food  and romantic vibe all seem to fit with “romantic theme” to me.

So true!

I’m beginning to second guess my colours the past few days 😛

I know they look good together and fit with our theme (rustic/elegant)… but lilac, apple green and chocolate brown do NOT sound like colours that work well together when not actually looking at them 😛

Your colours, and different elements all sound very much in the ‘romantic’ theme – especially with a smaller wedding too. It sounds lovely – no moar stress 🙂

If you want to message me, I can refer you to a friend who is “getting into the business” of stationary design (she is a graphic designer and wants to do more weddings on the side of her FT graphic design work). Anyway, she is inexpensive b/c she is building a portfolio but can make you the documents you need totally customized to your colors/visions/etc. For my wedding, she made like 3 inspiration boards based on what I described to her BEFORE she even started the stationary just to help me tease out the theme better. But yeah, if she had a website up I’d refer it to you but doesn’t yet. She would send you the file as a pdf then you take it to a local printer and have them print and cut! It is a great way to get custom work w/o huge costs.
