I signed up for this website because there’s an old one from 3 years ago where A BUNCH of you tried helping a lady who was on a tight budget trying to get married in Savannah. I’m in the same boat. My fiance nearly has everything figured out and went down there to look at our reception area and it’s TINY! It’s so small we wont be able to have all the guests in it, let alone food, tables, etc. At the moment, we’re thinking of going to get married in Statesboro (where she’s from) but the reception venue there is $2500 for just the venue. I like the church more in Savannah so I’m trying to find a reasonably priced place for the reception in Savannah. We haven’t paid a caterer or bartender so a package deal or anything where we MUST use onsite catering/bar will work. If anyone who deals with venues reads this, the date is August 8th of this year (2015).
Thanks so much in advance!

Oh! I nearly forgot the American Legion Post is unavailable.

How many people are attending? Do you have a budget you are trying to stay in? I know there are tons of the old houses around the squares that rent out but they can get kinda pricey. The Lady and Sons has a great banquet room and is surprisingly very reasonable but it is for smaller groups I believe.

How many guests are you having? Is it the size wedding where you can have a restaurant reception, or is it like 200 people?

Is there a VFW,Knights of Columbus, Elks, Moose, or maybe a union hall? Also, if there are heritage centers one might have s hall (The Danish American Center here does). I was at a large event at a country fairgrounds. It was a nice rustic setting.
Good luck and congratulations.

- Wedding: October 2014 - Savannah, GA
I don’t know what your budget is, but we used The Charles Morris Center for our October wedding. It wasn’t insanely expensive.

Sorry, $2500 or less for the venue if we get to use our own caterer/batender is the budget. There’s roughly 130 (call it 150 to be safe) attending, and less than $20 a head for catering, $1000 for all alcohol. Bryson hall, Savannah Station are both taken. I’ll keep updating when I have more information from other places. Thanks again for all the help.
