@BrooklynBride2013:  Thank you for saying don’t sue.  My aunt is a lawyer’s dream and sues everybody and everything that goes wrong.  Her newest rant is that no one should go on cruise ships because “they’re all based in Panama and you can’t sue them if something goes wrong.”  It’s REALLY nice to hear someone saying don’t sue!

@Thorns-n-Roses:  I would still write reviews everywhere I could. This made me mad at her & idk who she is!! I’m so sorry you went through all of this WOW :(.

ETA: After you get fully refunded, call your bank & tell them you want to block any charges that they try to make. Make sure your refund is FULLY processed first though!

Wow! So glad you got your money back! I’m sad that you have to find a new dress though, because of that lady’s bitchiness.

@Thorns-n-Roses:  From what I read Maggie Sottero is very strict about the prices their dresses must be sold for. If their dresses are mis marked or being vastly over sold I would report them to Maggie Sottero. Also the Better Business Bureau can help you to resolve the issue often. I am so sorry this happened. Maybe take a picture fo the Maggie dress and go back to the store with it to be sure that it is the same dress. Then you can also bring proof of what the pricing should be on the dress. Bestbridalprices.com has pretty acurate prices. The price it listed i exactly what I paid for my Maggie.

@radar:  Maggie Sottero only cares is stores discount the dresses below MSRP. Unfortunately, they do nothing if the gowns are marked up higher.

Is this store even a Maggie retailer? I’m wondering because there are a few mainstream designers that have “Private Collections” that are actually copies of Maggies!

Wow!!! I cannot believe this shop. I would write reviews on yelp, here, the knot, bbb, etc. to warn future brides about this nut.

I’m glad it all worked out in the end but I can’t imagine the emotional stress you must have been under. I got knots in my stomach just reading about it!

UGH. I’m glad you got your money back. Something similar happened to me–I fell in love with a “private label” gown at my bridal salon, bought it, etc. Posted pictures on here, turns out it was a Venus gown. Emailed the bridal salon, the owner responded, defending their right to relabel gowns because “Venus doesn’t care.” I told her that telling brides that their dress is EXCLUSIVE to your salon is a LIE, but she didn’t really seem to care. She said that she’d have a meeting with their consultants to go over this, but just recently, I got an email from another bride who bought the same private label from that salon, Googled it, and found my post from here about it. Obviously, they have NOT changed anything. They had offered to refund my money, but the dress wasn’t that expensive and I did love it, so I declined. Apparently, that makes me a bridezilla, because the only person who deals with me now from there is the manager. Ridiculous.
