How about out in Niagara-on-the-Lake? We were married at a vineyard (with a reception in a wine cellar) and it was perfect. Our venue probably wouldn’t suit you because the tent wouldn’t be an option but we saw several that all had different pluses:

– Ravine Vineyard (they build their couples an evening bonfire, which we thought was the cutest idea ever)

– Stratus Vineyard (cool, industrial room inside with outdoor ceremony – not sure about a tent at this one)

– Konezellman Winery (right on the water – outdoor ceremonies are held in a beautiful gazebo beside the vines and overlooking the water)

– Kurtz Orchard (didn’t see this one but it’s all outdoors and looks lovely)

One more suggestion – east of the city, Nestleton Waters Inn is beautiful. They do tented receptions almost exclusively.

leen507:  try the Donalda Club at York Mills/DVP and Granite Club at Bayview/Lawrence. Atlantis also has lots of great views. I recommend going to these venues in person as looking online won’t give you a complete feel for the space.

David Springer Estate – aka Old Springer House – This place can hold 70 guest. You get exclusive rental of the entyre property for the day and you can put a tent up or use their indoor/outdoor hall. It’s Burlington but on the 407 it’s not that far

I recently saw a wedding on SMP at Casa Loma where they had a tent. It was beautiful! Not sure what your budget is, but Graydon Hall manor is gorgeous and they have a tent on their patio. Have you looked into the Toronto Islands? The Island Yacht Club and the Royal Canadian Yacht Club are both gorgeous and are a bit of an “escape” from the city. Miller Lash House does tent weddings (and their site specifically says the walls/sides are clear) and so does the Terra Cotta Inn in Caledon and Bob Rumball Manor (not sure if clear or not). From what I’ve seen, Bayview golf and country club seems to have really nice views. Good luck!!

Try Carmens Lakeview in Hamilton! It’s definitely affordable!

Spencer’s or cambridge mill! Glass rooms at both but not tents

Casa Loma has a glass tent that’s stunning! Sounds perfect for what you want.

leen507:  The McMichael is a beautiful venue, I don’t know if they’ll let you do an outdoor tented event though

leen507:  We chose the Berkeley Fieldhouse.

Have you looked at Estates of Sunnybrook, tons of outdoor ceremony space?

I did see a wedding photo journal at Graydon Hall Manor with a clear top tent (which I beleive was extra to rent) but it quite pricey.
