We only have 16 characters to engrave our wedding rings. [Really? Only 16 characters?!] We are stuck between “My Love Always” or “John 9/7/13” and “Jane 9/7/13”. We like the idea of having the date on there, but we also like the idea of having “Love” in some way. “Love 9/7/13” doesn’t seem right.
Can you give me an idea of what you chose and why? If you have been married for many years, was it meaningful to have your wedding date on there?
Thanks in advance!

@Pumpkin_Bee: I think that’s 100% a personal choice. If we decide to do engravings, I’ll probably want my SO to choose mine and me to choose hers as a short personal message to the other one. I don’t feel they need to match nor do I think the date is necessary and it’s too common to me. I’d consider doing “minus 1 day” (after the winnie the pooh quote) or if I wanted the date I’d do “F&A 9/7/13” because we always say “forever and always” when the other says “i love you”…I’d likely not do either of those but they’re just examples. I think it should be something meaningful to you

I like the “my love always” best. It would be nice to have the date, I guess, but just for me I really like having love in there. I have something similar engraved on a locket Fiance gave me years ago & I think it’s just so romantic.
