We are having a Pewter (dark gray) bridesmaid dress from Davids Bridal, was wondering if we should do the light gray tux’s from Men’s Wearhouse or just the traditional black with like dark silver vest? Not sure what will look best.
Please let me know what you tthink. oh and also the men are supposed to wear white even though I am wearing an Ivory dress? Or do they wear Ivory shirts?

I got into an argument with the lady at Men’s Wearhouse on this one! I feel very strongly that ivory shirts look dingy–especially since mostly the cuffs and collar will be showing. My dress is ivory and Fiance will be wearing a white shirt and ivory tie. All the groomsmen will be wearing white shirts, too.

I think gray suits look too matchy matchy with the bridesmaids. I prefer black suit with gray vest. 🙂
I also think white shirts are better.

There is nothing more attractive than a man in a black tux. Definitely would have the men in white shirts.

I say black tuxes withbwhite shirts. Grey is too match, and ivory shirts I am just not a fan of.

I just got married a few months ago, and we did dark gray dresses with the dark gray tuxes–I was a little nervous about it being too monotonous, but it turned out GORGEOUS and photographed so well. Think of it as wearing black tuxes with black bridesmaid dresses–no one would think twice to do that. We also did white shirts (my dress was white) which looked really crisp and sharp against the gray tuxes.

My dress is ivory and we got the the guys ivory shirts. Both my dress and the shirts look VERY close to white so I don’t think it looks bad at all.

I think black tuxedos will be fine, but it is hard to tell without seeing the actual tuxedos & Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses. As to ivory or white; my husband wore an ivory vest and shirt and I assure you, it did not look ‘dingy’ at all.
