I kind of run into a big problem, I wanted to add some extra poof to my dress Allure 8801. Here is the picture of it.
So, I bought this Merry Modes extra full crinoline.
So my dress just came in and the crinoline does NOT work with it. OMG, I am so frustrated and upset. When I added crinoline it made the dress more A-Line on the bottom but did nothing much on the top, it looked like a huge triangle. In addition it added a bump on the bottom of the dress.(I can’t use it and will have to sell it now)
Do you bees have any suggestions how can I make it more puffy on the top of the skirt? So the dress puffs out at the hips and top and not so much on the bottom.
Thank you for your help.

I’d take it to a seamstress and see if she can add some short layers of tulle up at the top where the drop waist ends. That shoudl puff it out at the hips. Otherwise, I’d say a custom hoop skirt would be the only other option.

You could try a different crinoline (I recommend the Alfred Angelo slip size 110(bridal ballgown) or 111(quince), mostly because these are the ones I am most familar with shape wise.) But to me it doesn’t look like the skirt was made to be that full. Your best be will be taking it to a seamstress and seeing what she recommends. Your skirt may need to be let out under the bodice to make room for some more crinoline.
But before I purchase anything else I would go see a respectable seamstress and get her professional opinion.

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I will have to consult my seamstress. I am having my fist fitting next week, so hopefully she will have some suggestions.
