I am going to go crazy trying to plan this stupid honeymoon!!! I have it kind of narrowed down to:
Secrets Wild Orchid Jamaica – Jr. Preferred ocean view,
Sandals Montego Bay Jamaica – Honeymoon waters edge concierge, or
Cocobay Resort Antigua – Seafront cottage
Has anyone been to these resorts or can reccommend a different resort?? What were your pros and cons?? We want all-inclusive and would prefer adults only. Our budget is supposed to stay under $3000 for 7 nights with air fare.

We got married in October and took a 10 day honeymoon to Oc
hos Rios. We stayed at Couples San Souci and booked online with Apple Vacations. It was all inclusive ( including alot of excursions like Dunns River, water sports, and glass bottom boat rides ) The drinks and food was awesome! The staff was sooo friendly! I would most defiantly reccomend this resort. It’s only couple above 18. There were alot of honeymooners as well as returning guests. The place is laid out for couples. There are alot of hidden places like hot tubs back in the trees and private, which is perfect. there were alway available beach and pool chairs ( there are like 5 pools!) The spa offers a free 30 min couples massage with proof of recent marriage, which we added on to an hour long massage in a private hut overlooking the ocean. I mean really I cannot say enough about this place. Look into it. It cost us about 3,000 flying from Baltimore washington international and we had an upgraded ocean view room. Feel free to email me at [email protected] iff you want to hear more, i could talk all day about what an amazing time we had!

Thanks for the reply!! I am going to look into that resort. You sold me on the hot tubs in the trees, that sounds SO romantic 🙂

I voted for Secrets Wild Orchid because that is where I am going on my honeymoon. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor and Weddingbee (A couple bee’s have gone there), I am very excited to go especially with a great deal from allinclusiveoutlet.com . I was looking into Sandals too, but I can get a better room at Secrets for a great price.

i would check out couples negril, Jamaica – we stayed at swept away but it cost us around 5k…but we booked really late! and during valentines week so that might be why its that expensive…anyway Couples Negril is suppsoed to be a little younger crowd and cheaper – Couples Swept Away is a few miles down the road and AMAZING! if you can swing the cost (you seriously may be able to do it for 3 or just over) i would def recommend Couples Swept away. best vacation of my life.
so romantic – they had bonfires on the beach where we got to light and release our own paper lanterns…they have candlelit private dinners on the beach you can (pay for) but so romantic. all the excursions are included – scuba, snorkling, kayking, sunset cruises, wind surfing and so much more
the water – ugh! i hate the ocean but you could not get me out of it – its so clear and no fish for seaweed or anything like that (unless you go out to the reef and snorkle then you will see the sea life) – its so warm and so calm – on all the beach chairs they have floats that you can take in the water and just lay on – i did that alot!
The layout is amazing -everything is open air and tropical.
i have pics! ill try and post a few tonight.

Did you choose a honeymoon???
I think you might want to go a little bit more unconventional in your thinking and it coudl save you a lot of money (if you didn’t already choose). If you are comfortable renting a private house from someone than I would recommend vacationrentals.com. It has houses all over the world for rent. This way you can have your privacy and skip the huge expenses of a resort! My Fiance and I are going to Belize for 9 days and our budget is $3000 too! We are able to do a lot more because we aren’t staying at a resort! I don’t know if this is your kind of thing, but we chose this because it has a private beach, hammocks, a kayak, and a dock, plus everything that comes with your own house! This way we can choose to cook or go out to eat locally, do spa treatments at the resorts nearby if we want to relax, and go on tours! Keep us updated!!!

I love Jamaica! What a beautiful island. If you have the chance to see it and experience their way of life you will be changed forever! I have seen a few people mention Couples Resorts and they are right on. I love Secrets Wild Orchid – it has a more modern chic feel to it since it was recently built but it sits in Montego Bay so it is more active. If you are looking for romantic escape check out Couples Negril. Sat on some of the best beach on the world this romantic retreat is the perfect honeymoon hideaway if you are looking for a place to get away from it all.

Thanks for your replies!! We still haven’t decided. I have looked into the non resort type vacation, but our wedding is pretty much all diy so I think we should just take the week to be waited on haha. We are going to meet with the travel agent this month. It’s so confusing there are so many awesome resorts!!
