Hi everyone! I’ve put these together so far and I need your opinions please. I can write calligraphy and I was wondering if these would look silly hand written or should i just have them printed somewhere? I bought the pockets for 80 cents each off the web, bought invitations from your local craft store, glued a little moss on the invitation ,then punched out little butterflies on gold paper with a cool little tool thanks to Martha, then glued a few swarovski crystals on them. Does it look over worked? Please help.

Is that a real fern? I’d just be worried about it looking a bit tattered when it got to its destination – perhaps press it first? I wouldn’t use the gold butterfly, but that’s personal taste – I don’t think it looks overworked.
In terms of writing them, if you can do caligraphy, it looks neat and you have the time to do it, then definitely hand-write them! It will make the invites so much more personal. Just be careful to make sure all the information can be read.

With the crystals and the butterfly and the moss under the butterfly, I think it’s a bit over-worked for my tastes; I would just do the fern, and *maybe* the butterfly. Do a sample of the calligraphy on a photocopy of the invite so you can get an idea of what it looks like. If you’re going to hand-write it, I would hand-write one and then copy/print that onto the others for consistency. Otherwise, I’d find a nice calligraphy font and use that.
