I agree with everyone else. I hope you get the full refund. I am so sorry you are going through such a mess so close to your big day. Good luck.

I found the post where she stated she’s selling that dress, but then just after that she says it’s a 2 piece dress. Shouldn’t that have been an indicator that maybe it wasn’t the same gown? Did she send you photos of the dress since you say you didn’t see the ad that she posted?

@Janster79:  Hugging you!! She should have never posted on that board… it’s not the same dress.  I would be so upset, too.

When I was doing some research for you… I saw that Allure numbers starting with a “P” mean limited edition? You might want to call Allure and verify if that are the authenticators of it.  I don’t know if that changes anything for you… but you still can technically resell it (find out if it’s authentic so you don’t have this confusion again) if you can’t get your money back from Paypal and purchase another dress (if you can’t come to terms with loving the dress you have now). I saw a bunch of Allure 8634’s on preownedweddingdress.com… they were around $1,100 – you may be able to negotiate them down.  Especially if they hear your frustrating dress story.

@zippylef:

She completely denies the whole thing saying that she has posted images of the dress (which she did in a different ad on ‘weddingbee’ classifieds (Under ‘Allure P850’) but I have never seen that add before I received the dress and I was researching it on-line and stumbled across the add and she has never told me about it in any of her emails).

The only thing the OP went off of was the thread titled: “Real Brides Wearing Allure 8634?” and immediately PM’d the seller since the seller said “she had that dress and it was for sale”. The OP never saw the Classified Weddingbee ad.  Should the OP caught the part where it said “2 part dress”?  Yes, probably.  But, she was so excited.  You can read the thread, it’s #17.

The seller lied when she claimed to be selling an Allure 8634. That’s quite enough for you to demand a full refund. The fact that the dress you received is similar is irrelevant – if it’s not an Allure 8634 you deserve your money back.

Being a bride herself doesn’t entitle her to deceive people and cheat them out of their money. Though I doubt she is actually a bride, since if you check her history she’s only actually made three posts – i.e. she only ever posted about this fake dress she was selling.

Girls the ‘Allure P850’ is only on the russian website which calls itself Allurebridals. RU and calles themself official allure rep in russian etc. I does not look like they are legit. I know for a fact Russia has all those knock offs with original labels! The dress is not authentic! The woman sold it as authentic cuz of the label that said “allure” but there is not such dress  as ‘Allure P850’ . And allurebridals.com are the only legit website everything else is a scam. I guess that where the dress came from. Its a scamm!

I found her post. I will quote it to save time for others looking for it:

“I AM SELLING THIS DRESS! SIZE 8. NEVER WORN. BOUGHT IT IN THE WRONG SIZE. IT HAS BEEN TRIED ON A COUPLE OF TIMES. I need to sell it immediately so I can buy another dress before my June wedding. This dress is also a two-part dress so you can where it long to the ceremony and short for the reception. If you are interested in buying it, please contact me at [email protected]. Make an offer!”

She CLEARLY said she was selling the dress. She didn’t say anything about it being the other dress but simliar. She lied and owes you a full refund. I hope you go after her and win!
