@MrsEdamame:  Data protection laws aside, your sister’s blatant desperation speaks volumes about the shadiness of this.

Good on you for keeping you’r mum’s back. I’d say inform your mum because it is her identity afterall

Shady as hell… You did the right thing. A lot of those schemes have sales minimums for every seller, so your mom would probably be held responsible for a certain amount of product.

@MrsEdamame:  totally with you!

I used to work for one of those, I had my mother signed up under me but that was so I could have her orders shipped directly to her and my mom knew all about it!

I would absolutely not give her this info. Why is she coming to you instead of to your mother? I hate those businesses!

@MrsEdamame:  Yuck, this is a terrible situation and I can’t believe your sister would be going through with it! I would tell Mom pronto because she should be able to defend her own security! So glad you didn’t give her ANY info

Uh WTF. I would call Mom and let her know and tell this psycho off.

I’m obviously not a lawyer, but I would imagine you can get into some legal trouble accessing someone else’s email accounts/giving out their SS numbers without their consent….and your sister is shady.

I know a few people involved in these schemes. It’s so frustrating. That is so wrong of your sister. Stick to your guns, do not give out that info!!!

@MrsEdamame:  tell her you’re uncomfortable with this and she can talk to your mom about it herself.  Tell her you’re not getting involved.  Period.
